Providence & Responsibility

Genesis 24 brings us to the longest chapter, the most verses, and the longest speech in the entire book. Why the long chapter, and what's the point of the conversation with Abraham, his servant, Rebekah, and her family?

What we will see is glorious and mysterious doctrine of God's providence, which is his orchestrating of all events on earth to bring about his promises for his glory. In that, we also see the responsibility of humanity to seek him with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. Together, these two truths inform us of how God works magnificently in our lives for our good and his glory.
