Not highhandedness, but openhandedness

Genesis 29:31 to 30:24 tells of the story of Rachel and Lead, their struggle for their husband's love and children.
Rachel is so desirous for a child from her husband, that she engages in the wrong attitude, a wrong appeal, a wrong action, a wrong alternative, and a wrong artifice. In other words, Rachel tries everything in her sinful repertoire to manipulate the promise of God so she can have children.
However, the moment she gives up all her manipulative practices, God opens her womb and she conceives. All this informs us that the blessings of God are not received by those who trying to bring them about via sinful practices, but by taking a position of humble submission to God's will.
