Exodus

Matt Templeton

400 years after Joseph died, God would lead His people out of Egypt with strikingly dramatic power. If the end of Genesis leaves us with the impression that God would go on orchestrating His will from behind the scenes, Exodus explodes with the presence of God once again at the forefront of the story. This week, we will “fly over” the entire book of Exodus to gaze in wonder as God reveals Himself as the Lord of creation who saves His people so that He can dwell with them. But this was not just a revelation that the poor, enslaved Israelites needed. This is a revelation for each of His people, everyday—because knowing the God who saves, changes everything.
