The Holy Call to Make War

The Christian life is a call to live radically different from this world, and it is often costly and difficult. The world, and our own indwelling sin, are hostile toward believers. Therefore, Christians must be willing to obey God even when it involves suffering, this shows that they have made a clear break with previous sinful patterns of life, and that their commitment is now to live ‘no longer for human passions but for the will of God.’
