Praise and Worship God
This sermon on 1 Peter 1:3–5 calls believers to praise God even in the midst of suffering, just as Peter encouraged scattered and persecuted Christians to lift their eyes beyond their circumstances. The message highlights three foundational truths: God’s great mercy, His sovereign work in causing believers to be born again, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because salvation begins with God’s mercy and power, Christians can rest in the confidence that their hope is not based on their own works, but on the finished work of Christ.
The sermon then explains the gifts that flow from this new birth: a living hope, an imperishable inheritance kept in heaven, and a salvation that will be fully revealed when Christ returns. These truths remind believers that trials are temporary, but God’s promises are secure. Therefore, Christians are called to persevere in faith, encourage one another, and worship God with thankful hearts as sojourners awaiting the day when they will see God face to face.
