Deep Mercy in Dark Clouds

Tom Petty was right. Waiting is the hardest part. Especially when we ware waiting through something painful or grievous. Patience truly is a virtue. We hope to get healed, we hope our children behave better, we hope we can stop that habit -- all right now. But, we end up waiting on God to answer that prayer. And waiting tends to test our patience.

Simply put, patience is waiting with hope. Specifically, hoping in God. God's timing. God's plan. God's purpose. It’s the diligent practice of godliness while you wait—whether you’re waiting on people, on circumstances, or, ultimately, on God.

So, how do we wait with hope while we are suffering and grieving?
