Deacons

The greatest in the kingdom are servant -- particularly serving the people of God. God's Word routinely highlights the need for serving others in the Christian life. But Jesus does more than give us a bare and dry command for believers to serve; he gives us living and breathing examples within the church of how to serve one another.

However, it is not just anyone in the church who can serve as a deacon, but those there are specific requirements that a deacons must meet in order to serve the church of Jesus Christ. This week, we will see that deacons are qualified, competent, and copies of Christ.
