Being the local body of Christ, Fireside has members engaging our city through our individual lives. We are the redeemed who interact daily with the lost in our city. In this way, we have ongoing engagement with our unbelieving neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. This collective witness is a massive deal in our city. We want to be ministers of the gospel wherever we are. Additionally, as a church, we also support specific ministries that share and apply the gospel within particular segments of our community.

The following are those ministries:

Fireside is part of a network of churches throughout North America called the Immanuel Network. This network consists of like-minded pastors and churches with a goal of helping pastors plant and cultivate healthy churches for a global harvest. 

Glen and his wife, Bethany, have been married since 2001. Glen earned an M.Div. from SBTS in 2008 and an M.A. in Field Linguistics in 2020, and he has served South Asian peoples in Bible translation since 2011. In 2018, he helped start a Bible storying project among a minority language group in preparation for Bible translation. In 2019, a New Testament translation project began and is on track to be published in 2029. Glen and Bethany live in Louisville, Kentucky, with their four boys and are members of Immanuel Baptist Church.
