Revelation 22:1-9

Weird question: Have you ever wondered why God made you with a face?

Seriously.

Ever wondered that? God could have made us like a plant or a jellyfish -- no face, but still a living creature. God didn't make us like plants of a jellyfish -- but he made us with bodies that reflect His glory, and that includes having a face. But why? Why do we have a face?

I think God made us with a face so that He could shine His upon ours, and thus shine His grace upon us (Num 6:25). This was the promise made thousands of years ago through the blessing of Aaron in the book of Numbers. Yet, that was not all there was to that promise, because the fulfillment of that promise will come when we see God face to face (Rev 22:4).

In this sermon, we will see God the greatest experience in heaven won't be walking on streets of gold, hearing every tribe and language, being reunited with all believers, or evening seeing the pearly gates. The greatest experience in heaven will be seeing your God, face to face, for all eternity.
